01Why arc flash studies matter for operators.

What if my equipment doesn't have arc flash labels?
For occupied commercial: priority gap to close. Without labels, electrical work on the equipment requires conservative PPE assumptions (highest PPE category for that equipment class) or specific case-by-case analysis. Operations are constrained until proper labels exist. Initial arc flash study is the path to labeling. Marin commercial buildings older than ~2010 frequently lack proper arc flash labels; building owners on PM programs commonly update.
